Our Psychologists

Teall McQueen — Senior Clinical Psychologist

Teall is the founder of Little Matters.

She is a Clinical Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor who has worked with people of all ages and stages. Teall has over a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in both the public and private mental health sector.

Through having her own children, Teall developed a passion for birth, infants and Matresence - the journey of becoming a mother. She believes the transition to parenthood is a hard one - a time of significant change and adjustment. She appreciates the many challenges women and families can face during this time and brings a lived understanding to her work.

With an engaging, warm and compassionate manner, Teall works to develop a relationship with her clients that can foster growth both in and out of session. She is passionate about supporting individuals create a meaningful life by reorganising difficult situations into opportunities for development, change and growth.

Teall is trained in Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. She is also a Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC/Possums) Accredited Practitioner and Registered Circle of Security Parenting facilitator.

Angela Green — Perinatal Psychologist

Angela is an authentic and compassionate Perinatal Psychologist who is passionate about all things mental health, parenting and wellbeing.

Angela has worked for many years in a public mental health setting, private practice and more recently as a School Psychologist.  As a Mum of two young girls, she strongly believes in the importance of offering a judgment free, warm and compassionate space for people to come and get support in dealing with the changes and challenges that are part of the perinatal period.  

Since becoming a mother herself, Angela developed a keen interest in supporting individuals who are embarking on their parenting journey; whether they are planning to become parents, already pregnant, transitioning to new parenthood or further expanding their family. Angela is passionate about providing sensitive support to those who have experienced fertility challenges, pregnancy or infant loss. Angela has experienced both the joys and challenges of the perinatal period and feels privileged  to walk beside and empower others throughout this significant journey.

Angela has training in Perinatal Mental Health as well as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Schema Therapy. 

Angela is only available via Telehealth.

Fiona Stewart — Perinatal Psychologist

Fiona is a Perinatal Psychologist who strives to create a welcoming and safe space for clients to discuss their difficulties and feel understood. As a mother, she appreciates that the journey of becoming a parent and raising children involves unique challenges. She provides an empathetic and compassionate approach to helping clients navigate the journey of parenthood and life in general.

Fiona has worked with clients experiencing perinatal depression and anxiety, birth trauma, and difficulties adjusting to this life-changing period. More broadly, she also has experience with clients struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, stress, emotion regulation difficulties, and relationship issues.

Whilst working with clients, Fiona primarily draws upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills. She has engaged with clients in several settings including a community clinic, schools, and private practice. She completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Canberra and is currently undertaking the clinical registrar program.

Mollie Coles — Perinatal Psychologist

Mollie is a Perinatal Psychologist who is passionate about supporting mothers, fathers, and their families through the challenges and growth that arise in the perinatal period.

Mollie views the therapeutic relationship as the anchor to therapy and provides a safe, comfortable, collaborative and accepting space for her clients to gain support in the changes and challenges of pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and parenthood. Mollie values the wealth of expertise held by the individuals and families she supports, who have the deepest understanding of their own experience. Through utilising evidence based therapeutic frameworks, Mollie works with you and alongside you to create meaningful change.

Accumulating a range of experiences working across settings, including private practice, schools, hospitals and child and family services, Mollie has developed an understanding and interest in neurodivergence and the interplay between physical and mental health.

Since becoming a mother herself, Mollie has developed a lived understanding and appreciation for the deep transformation that occurs during pregnancy and the transition to parenthood. She empathises with the many challenges, socioemotional and physical changes, disrupted sleep, and fatigue, faced by parents and families during the perinatal period.

Erin Lima — Perinatal Psychologist

Erin believes in creating a warm, non-judgemental and safe space for mothers, fathers and families in the perinatal period. She strives for her clients to feel they can ‘come as they are’ into a session and works with them to foster confidence, self-compassion and wellbeing.

Erin has always had an interest in child development and supporting children and families. She worked as childcare educator and in schools for the past 9 years both in full and part-time capacities as she completed her studies in Psychology. Her passion in this space was furthered when she undertook intern experience at Perinatal Infant Mental Health Services. This solidified her desire to to work with individuals as they navigate both the joys and challenges of the transition into parenthood.

Erin is currently undergoing the immersive developmental experience that comes with raising a baby. She will be back from maternity leave in May 2025.


Midwifery & Lactation

Midwife Alex — RN/Midwife and IBCLC Lactation Consultant

Midwife Alex has teamed up with Little Matters to provide families with holistic supported care.

Alex is a IBCLC Lactation Consultant and Dual Registered Nurse/Midwife with AHPRA. She has worked in many fields of nursing and across the spectrum of midwifery.

Alex is passionate about supporting women and their families through their journey into parenthood. She has a great understanding of the complexities that can arise during pregnancy and birth that can impact on families, not only at the time, but when they start thinking about another pregnancy. She empowers her clients and helps to create realistic manageable plans that are easily implemented at home.

Alex has an in depth knowledge of feeding difficulties and development milestones. She understands the challenges and pressures placed on families when feeding isn’t working out as planned. Alex is committed to providing support without judgment or bias to help families achieve their feeding goals.

Alex has completed a Post-Graduate Degree in Maternal Critical Care. She is also an Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC/Possums) and Biomechanics for Birth Advanced Practitioner.


Occupational Therapy

Leah Bokey-Grant — Mental Health Occupational Therapist

Leah is an occupational therapist with many years experience working with children and their families in the community. Since having two young children of her own Leah has been immersed in the greatest learning curve of all- motherhood- and has been inspired by this experience to delve into ongoing study & clinical practice with Little Matters specialising in the perinatal sphere. 

Leah wholeheartedly believes parents are always doing the very best they can with the skills, knowledge & support they have and that reaching out for extra support is the most wonderful act of love for yourself & your child- we were never meant to parent alone. 

Leah is passionate about proving warm & empathetic support in times of need and workshopping practical solutions to get through each day as parents, together finding the moments of joy in times of overwhelm. With her professional experience working with children 0-5 and also personally as a mother to two young children, Leah also offers parenting support for the early years- understanding behaviour from a child’s lense & how we as parents can foster the secure and loving bond we seek with our child during the rollercoaster early years. 

Leah is an AHPRA registered occupational therapist and a member of Occupational Therapy Australia. She is also a Neuroprotective Developmental Care (NDC/Possums) Accredited Practitioner.


Counselling & COSP

Olivia Hey — Registered Counsellor and Registered Circle of Security Facilitator

Olivia is a Registered Counsellor with over ten years of experience working alongside children, teenagers, parents, and families. Throughout her career, she has developed a rich understanding of the unique and varied struggles individuals face throughout their lives. Her diverse experience spans various roles in Out of Home Care, most recently working as a counsellor in schools, the construction industry, and private practice, allowing her to bring a wealth of experience and understanding to her work.

Olivia believes in offering a warm, judgment-free space where individuals feel supported in working through life's challenges. She brings a genuine, caring approach to her practice, and is passionate about supporting each individual to navigate their own unique life journey.

Olivia has completed training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and is a Registered Circle of Security Parenting facilitator.

Olivia is only available via Telehealth.


Administration

Hayley Coad — Admin Support

Hayley is an enthusiastic and compassionate member of our administration team, bringing a warm and bubbly energy to everything she does. Hayley is currently studying her Bachelor of Psychology and Arts at the University of Canberra, with intentions to pursue work in Clinical psychology. Hayley has experience working as a tutor which has given her a great understanding of how children develop academically during their formative years, and she enjoys helping them through those important phases of life.

Hayley is always ready to lend a hand with a smile—whether that’s assisting with administrative support or offering a friendly voice on the other end of the phone. She’s always happy to chat, make a cup of coffee or tea, or offer a bit of lighthearted warmth to brighten your day. Hayley is here to help make your experience with us as smooth and pleasant as possible bringing both efficiency and kindness to every interaction.

Phoebe Goto — Admin Support

Phoebe is one of the friendly faces at the Little Matters front desk. Phoebe brings warmth and kindness to her role as Admin Support, and is always ready to lend a helping hand, make cups of tea, or offer a listening ear. She is passionate about perinatal care, and has been obsessed with all things pregnancy, birth, and beyond for about as long as she can remember. 

When she’s not at Little Matters, Phoebe spends the other half of her working week supporting new and expectant mothers in crisis. These are women facing incredible hardships in their lives and living situations. Working within the perinatal space has only amplified Phoebe’s firm belief that all women and families should have access to perinatal-specific support services.

In her downtime, you’ll find Phoebe cooking, camping, or chasing after her energetic rescue dog, Marley.


Our Goal

We believe that when parents are well equipped with support, compassion and knowledge, they are better equipped and more confident to meet the emotional and physical needs of their child/children.
